Fountain Hills Charter
School takes pride in the Extra-Curricular activities we offer. We
encourage our students to get involved in more than just one of the numerous
clubs and sports we offer. The activities are not just limited to after school
hours. Students meet regularly during the day, and meetings are scheduled as
part of the student's personalized education plan. We believe that a student's
sense of belonging is an important aspect of everyday life on and off
campus.
Extra-Curricular activities include clubs and sports. At
Fountain Hills Charter School, Students enjoy
such clubs as; a Radio Club, Student Council, and various Sporting Clubs.
Getting rowdy is encouraged at our various intramural sports,
including wrestling, basketball, football, volleyball, and hockey. Just like in
the classrooms, students learn how working together can accomplish common goals
on and off the field.
In addition to the preceding activities, Fountain Hills Charter School has it very
own radio station, KDSTR at 590 AM. Students get a feel for newscasting and
weather reporting, as well as developing essential voice and communication
skills of life in the real world. Your budding star will experience the action
of a broadcasting studio.
While the Extra-Curricular activities encourage students to
work together to meet common goals, students also learn how their own sense of
individualism adds to the team as a whole. The camaraderie of the students will
last them through all their years at Fountain Hills Charter School;
furthermore, many students will build long-lasting friendships from both the
clubs and sporting activities.
